Just curious as to where the 28 and 30 Nosler will fit on your chart ?

I was trying to do this last night after a 400 mile drive with 3 customer visits and it wasn't working. When I got back to it after some rest I realized I had a formula error. Fixed that.

The reason 'accurate barrel life' is generally established from competitors is because they're in the best position to detect loss of accuracy. Hunters don't MEASURE enough shots to see passing peak accuracy -with precision.
And then there are many(most) in both competition and hunting who never reached peak accuracy to begin. So they won't detect passing accuracy peak with any precision either.

For example, a poll at BR Central overwhelmingly concluded that accurate barrel life from a 6PPC in competitive use was ~900rnds (10sec shot rate being a big contributor to this).
Now, even at a 30sec shot rate, where a competitively loaded 6PPC could last ~2700rnds before departing 1s-low 2s, it would still take a while before it was so bad along to break 1/2".
So a hunter happy with ~1/2moa from a 6PPC would not likely detect a 'problem' for ~4000rnds.

A hunter with something like a 26Nosler could destroy his barrel's potential in one session of fast group shooting. He might not ever have a chance to reach any peak in accuracy -to detect later detriment of it.

I have a little experience with this caliber. I built one and burnt a barrel out with in 400 rounds. The barrel was a old take off rechambered to the 26. I then installed a Lothar barrel and Nitrided it. Lothars are known of being a harder steel that last longer let alone the nitriding. I have 900 rds through this barrel with little to no signs of erosion.

All things considered its hard to beat the 7mm Rem or the 7 STW.
