You're probably getting inaccurate measurements due to a burred edge or inexpensive calipers or technique.
Try inside/outside chamfering the necks on your virgin brass and make sure you get a good measurement.
There won't be that much difference due to firing.
If your brass lot is that inconsistent, you may have to neck turn.
