My thoughts are they just don't have to actually think anymore. You google/siri/alexa for your answer and forget about it. Shouldn't be a surprise at this point. 5 year olds have smart phones and tablets. Has nothing to do with politics has to do with you don't need to think, just memorize the answer your phone gave you. I suck at sums and maths, so I use my watch to snap out the $ amount for a tips. Sure I can actually sit down and have the correct answer using a pen and paper and it will take a few minutes but I can do it. The watch is way faster. Oh I'm GenX grew up small town USA and was actually taught readin,writing/rithmatic and can still name all the states the capitols and generally know the location of every country.-WW
Knowledge is power and without the true knowledge of our countries history and the priciples that it was built on it makes it much easier for the great "brainwash". From what I see in our area, as with anything anywhere for that matter, the older generation of teachers are screaming at the top of their lungs about this. They aren't allowed to teach as they should. History class has been replaced by the rainbow and critical race even at the elementary levels. Since the newer generation of teachers are fresh out if the college scene, it's no big deal to them. Our schools used to require US and state constitution class and testing, as well as a class on consumer economics where basically learned how to function as an adult learning about loans, banking, how to balance a ck book. All this in the past but no longer taught.

Indoctrination started many years ago.
I went to both Private school in the 60s and last two years Public school in the early 70s. Huge difference in everything. My 10th grade in Private was taught more and knew more (advanced) than the 11th & 12th in Public. Never took a book home or did homework and passed with As & Bs. I felt like I was a GENIUS compared to other students.
When the Teachers (school) knew that I signed up for the Marine Corps on the "Delayed Entry Program" 180 days. They couldn't wait to graduate me.
I think were at a point where so many people just don;t want to learn anything anymore, or develop any real skills that take TIME to learn, were living in a world where everyone seems to think all they have to do when needs arise is LOOK something up online, watch a video on you tube and magically there all experts and can do anything! so WHY learn anything! is the mind set I see so many have any more

I'll add a ?? here, a friend of mine went on vacation for two weeks, came home, and found his one shed broke into, he checked his camera to find a bunch of neighborhood 8-12 yr old kids, breaking into shed, they STOLE a bunch of pick forks and older like manual labor tools the local police found the kids really fast, and asked them WHY they took what they took, and there answer was they thought they were worth a LOT of money as they had NO clue what they were for??
YUP they stole tools for working by hand> something I don;t see many kids doing anymore either!(adults either)
why dig a small hole by hand when you can buy a 25K mini digger to do it! and charge customers thousands to dig it with it??
that is a whole other observation I see with the mind set today! where again so few KNOW how to do many simple things, so many USED to do themselves! but don;t any more!
NOW<?? they just PAY others to do them, only those being paid ain;t doing much manual labor anymore either, there using high end tools and machines, and charging high prices to pay for them, and high costs be for all them simple things so many did themselves!!
