Does anybody know if a Hawkins Precision M5 bottom metal (floor plate) works with a short action Bighorn Origin? I have received conflicting info from folks. Does the M5 bottom metal need a wyatts mag box (like their website says)? I was told the Origin can't take the Wyatts box. Looking to get longer bullets than Rem700 standard BDL allows which is only 2.8" i believe. Thanks in advance.

The origin won't take a Wyatt's. Not without modifying the action. I went through this myself.
The M5 should work fine though.
Do you know, Does the M5 have a longer box than a standard rem700 short action?
I have 2 manners stocks with their M5 mini Chasis and Orgins and they run flawless. A long action and a short action both. You'll be gtg with an M5 DBM
