To those who are hunting today, GOOD LUCK! Lets see those pics! I am set up over large cut corn hedgerows, swamp and small hardwoods. Had a 130+ 8 get best of me last nite with bow in blowing rain snow mix. Not today!šŸ¤žšŸ™

Rain snow mix right now! No cover just enjoying elements. Let the .270TH eat!

While son was field dressing, never saw this before. When he cut open the diaphragm, the heart was completely detached and just laying there. He just reached in and pulled it out. Wrecked along with lungs. Wished I took more pics. 180HH in 30-06@2875 fps so its got some punch. The shot was only 75 yds but still have not seen this before.

NICE BUCK!!!!!!!!
I shot a buck several years ago with my S&W Model 29 44Mag and found the same thing. Heart completely detached. Bullet cut it clean off. Almost didn't have to do anything to it except put some seasoning on it and throw it in the frying pan!.

That's a beauty !
Great job ! I took a nice buck for my woods here in southern NH . Not a lot of farm country here so they are a bit smaller .

But I got a nice 6 point that was like 160-170 lbs . I'm very happy !
