I lined up a few cartridges for comparison, .300 Win Mag far left, 6.5x55 Swede far right, 3 loads of Geco 9.3x62mm (Express, Plus and Teilmantel, which was what I used). Also factory specs on ammo.

Nice buck. I try to stay with light recoil because of being pretty banged up. I like that Swede! Good looking round.

I have 2 rifles in 6.5x55, a stainless Ruger No. 1 and a Sauer XT bolt. The Sauer is very accurate. As you said, recoil is minimal, pleasant to shoot!
I plan on using the No. 1 for a doe this weekend.
