NX8 question

Is the Nightforce NX8 2-20x50 too short to use on a long action without having to use high scope rings?
My rifle has a 20 MOA pic rail and proof sendero contour barrel. I'm wanting to keep a low cheek weld.

I don't think the issue is with the height as much as it is with the scope tube length. Shorter tube makes it less easy to acquire proper eye relief when mounting on a two piece base. My suggestion would be to mount on a picatinny rail. Just my observation. Good luck.

I use low rings for mine on a one piece pic rail but I had the front lugs on the pic rail milled down to get it closer to my eye

but mine is magnum contour barrel not sendero
