Not equipment related methods to improve groups

A few years back I purchased a Browning T-bolt .22LR used. Surprisingly accurate. I found it very close in all the measurements to my SIG 970shr in .270win. I had a local smith mount a scope on it to match height above barrel etc to the SIG. Yes it was expensive to duplicate a great scope on a .22LR (4x the cost of the Browning). I find that I am now so used to putting that 22 up to my shoulder and acquiring the target quickly through the scope that picking up the SIG is literally no different. The SIG is 9 ounces heavier. I shoot both of them with a whole lot more confidence. I definitely suggest going the 22LR route.
