I hope and pray that with all this gun control arguments going again, we don't enter into another reloading supplies disaster just like we always do !!! For the most part, powders, brass, most bullets were getting back to almost normal again, powder prices were back around $20-25 area for standard powders, primers were getting near normal and here we go again... Had two friends stop by yesterday and they were going on a hoarding spree this weekend for certain supplies they use, I sure hope we don't fall for this again..it takes longer and longer each time to recover..this one took almost 4-5 years it seems.. NO MAS, NO MAS.....please !

If you didn't prepare for this happening again, then smack yourself in the forehead and say "duh"..

Yep...There's reasons why I have been buying more, and shooting less the last year or 2... I figured that with this being Odumbo's last year, he was going to go for one last push.

That is basically my strategy as well...
Less shootin, more fishin for me...:)

Yep, the last couple years I've been more concentrating on bass fishing and tournaments. And beer...But well, I've always had a fairly vested interest in that. :D

Also, just FYI, that Ben Franklin quote in your signature should read...

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither, and lose both..."

Just letting you know incase you wanted to change it.

Also, people need to NOT go out and panic-buy. That is the LAST thing we need to do. Then we will have another **** 3 years of drought like we are finally almost completely back to normal.

The more people go out and panic-buy, the more we are only screwing ourselves in the long-run.

I will say this, I have always wanted to add an AK to my collection...I guess now is as good a time as ever, before they attempt to ban them and the prices go through the roof again.

I agree Mudd... I was at my local GS today and they are in good supply. That can change overnight.
Slowly stocking up over the last couple of years, and panic hoarding are two different things.
I also know that ammo and powder companies learned as well, most of them advertised that they increased production capabilities, hopefully they increased enough....

Things are still not even close to normal in my area, but are way better than they were a few years ago. It took me three or four months to get a 8 pounder of varget. Before all this started I kept a good stock of supply's and never really hurt for anything. Now that we are starting to get into another election cycle and all the gun control bs that they are trying to rammed down our throats it's most likely going to get scarce again for a while, and if we get another lib-tard in office we will be feeling the pain again like it was a few years ago. I've been replenishing my supply's slowly over the past year or better in anticipation of the election. I don't trust people and especially my generation (millennials) to make the best choice's regarding the future of the USA.
Not to distract from the op but what do you all consider a good supply. How many pounds of powder, how many primmers, bullets, and cases do you keep on hand?

There's a simple solution to this thread, "VOTE".

This ^^^^

We all need to do our best to get a few friends or acquaintances that normally wouldn't vote, to vote this coming election. If we get Hillary in the Whitehouse, sh!t is going to hit the fan my friends.

I have voted every November since I was 18 years old. But that doesn't stop the panic hoarding...

Voting in November will not help the current disposition... The best thing we can do is talk to everyone of our friends and family and try to slow down the panic.
Most comanies can absorb the slight increase in demand, but emptying every shelf from Maine to California can't be restocked over night...

well some good news for some of you. The Supreme Court just ruled that an assault rifle ban is illegal. Now I own an AR15, but almost never touch it. Just bad juju for me. Yet I have no problem with a guy like Mudrunner running out and buying an AR15, and will have my hand on his back 100% of the time.

Around Houston things have been getting back to almost normal.. Academy even had a good supply of 22 ammo and 22 mag, which I haven't seen much of lately.

Gary, I'm not finding anything about it in the news or on a google search... Do you have a link?

Also, thanks, that means a lot coming from someone you don't even personally know. I feel the same way about some of y'all that I've conversed with on here, over the years.
