I've been looking into Cutting Edge Bullets but it appears they aren't that widely used. Looks like they offer some pretty good BC's for a mono bullet at a "fair" price especially since Badlands is out of business. So can someone give me some feedback as to why they seem to be overlooked?

Thanks

I did a quick search and there are 10 pages long ...

If you want to use them, go for it, and don't worry about what others use or think about CEBs.

CEB Lazers are huge in ELR.
Allegedly they have the lowest BC SD and go through trans the best, which I'm sure you aren't really worried about.
I shoot them in my 375, they shoot awesome.

I agree with @FEENIX just try them, they will work I'm sure. It's more about shot placement than anything. Almost every animal I've killed has been with a bullet that people say won't work well.

So I previously shot them in everything. Still use them for a few things.
Reason I changed was simple.

On game performance was better with hammer bullets. Bc lower but consistent on game over hundreds of animals hammers won. When running the numbers out to min fps needed to open the bullets the distance was not as significant as one would think. Couple that with the fact most game animals are taken at ranges that bc does not matter and the hammers became more obvious choice. Still run them in my big .375 because the bc and that is a long range bomber. And it's .375 dia.

That being said both are so far and above Barnes and other monos you would be happy with both. If hammer went away tomorrow I would go to my second favorite which is Ceb. I think it depends on cartridge and distance wanted to achieve also.

But before choosing take both bullets run them in an app at speeds people are getting for said round and see where both hit the min fps required to open.
