If they put a Firedot Reticle type in a NXS or NX8 in moa 2 FP I'd be all over a NF. I had a NX8 but even the illumination was way too busy and fine for my liking. If they got one I don't know about it.

I believe in them! Best value. As Lapuatom said, they have illuminated reticles. All you have to do is (I think) pull the left (focus)turret out. They have 30mm or more sized tubes and big obj. bells and great glass so they will get all the light available. Gonna be pretty dark before you need the illuminated reticle; but it's there when you need it.

Anyone have the NSX for hunting ?
Speaking with a salesmen, and he's guiding me away from the NSX for hunting. Because it's not a low light scope for dawn & dusk.

Any comments ?
Is that one of the "experts" at Cabelas that just graduated from high school and worked at Mc Donalds last week?

I've been running NXS Scopes since about 1999, started on a 50 BMG. We have now four of them on hunting rigs. They have been dependable and flawless. They are a little bit heavy, but we can always depend on them. If you end up getting one set the illumination down so you can see it well at first light or right after sunset. The factory setting is a little bit bright.

I have 3 NXS 5.5 X 22 scopes on all my hunting rifles. Never any tracking problems. Never any low light problems . I think they are the best. Bought them when they first came out. They are a little less expensive now.
