Will the tip missing affect the score much ? I never hunted rams. And have no idea how they are scored.

I have only done it once, so by no means an expert. Mass overshadows length.
It's very common to see older rams with broomed tips from fighting. This one has a lot of scars on those old horns!
For the OP, what did they age him at?

It's my understanding that the old rams "broom" their horns on rock to clear their line of sight! Left unchecked….they couldn't see to the side!
