Nice Mrad Optic

Well now after some have apparently started a comedy tour, if anyone has a quality set of 30mm NF, Leupold, TPS medium rings let me know.
This thread was/is for real shooters who conduct themselves as such.

I agree with you, this thread is for real shooters, but I want to get back to this shooting 22 LR at 600 yards???

You do realize at 600 yards that is like 56 FEET of drop, of which a bullet you are using that is completely incoherent of any balistic capabilities. It's a piece of lead that no matter how great of technology your firearm has, still is like throwing a stone and cannot be repeated @ 600 yards, EVER!

Rings are available from about 50 places at least.
As for "serious shooters", if you ever make it out to AZ, I would be more than happy to take you out to do some shooting. Although, I don't think my .22s are ready to attempt much 600 yard shooting other than just flinging lead for the pure entertainment factor. Even with the SWFA SS 3-15×42 scopes that reside on both of them.
But if you want to shoot some CF rifles, I have a spot we routinely shoot to 2000 yards. I hope my Premiers, Kahles, S&Bs, March and Tangent Thetas are up to your standards.

LOL, OK OK! lets leave the guy alone! On to the next one>

I'm not concerned with how much knowledge you all think you have about extreme ranges. That is maximum range not something I intend to varmint hunt with.
The record is approximately 600yds for 22lr with a semi automatic.
Still, your sarcasm is much appreciated guys, way to show everyone what real ELR shooters are about.
I'm done with you chidren.

I recently started dabbling in the 22 game and it is very fun I have to say. I ain't made it out to 600 yet but have shot 400 with very repeatable results. However, I did learn one thing. At 400 I am dialing 15 mils and holding 5 on reticle as I am just running a flat base because I thought I would just shoot 200 yds or so for fun to play while the big guns were cooling but it is quiet fun especially on steel with a can. I ordered a 20 moa rail now and am going to see how much farther I can get. One thing that is for certain that 22 will get you really good at wind hold. I put a swfa 10x HD on mine that I had sitting around. I will look when I get home man I am sure I have a few sets of rings laying around not being utilized.

Yeah the farthest I've been so far has been 475 yards with decent results. I've seen record shots that are in the 700-900 yard range but I believe the verified record is still around 600 I believe.

For a nice little .22 the Athlon Argos would fit the bill. I use a Bushnell .22 AR Optic on my 10/22 target and it's a blast hitting bottle at 200 yards. The little BDC reticle works great for that. The Athlon Argos is a significant step up from my Bushnell, and it should help you on your quest to 600 yards.

EDIT: sorry saw you purchase a Bushnell engage. Let us know how the shooting went. That sounds like a blast.
