He also is one tough mother, because sheep hunting is rugged work, requiring a helluva lot of patience

Beautiful ram! What a trophy. Has everything. I killed a Sonora Mx ram in Dec 2022. He wouldn't let me get close either. 650 yd shot uphill, just before he crossed over the top. He was skylined. Anchored him where he stood, thankfully. 28 Nosler, handloads, 195 gr EOL Berger.

lol nah I'm just self employed
All my equipment was paid off and when Covid hit I took advantage of a lot of opportunities. It's my motivation when I'm having a bad day, and even on good days. It was something I never thought I would ever do, not even a single ram.. but it became a goal for me and I got hooked on the mountains.

I have never eaten wild sheep meat. I'm not a fan of domestic mutton. What kind of taste would you compare the meat to, and can you distinguish the meat flavor from one species to another? Thanks.

It is honestly the best wild game I've ever had
Thin horns are amazing
Sheep ribs are to die for

I was fortunate to draw a Colorado Bighorn tag a couple years ago.

The meat was fantastic! To me it was similar to venison, but much milder game taste.
