Just received a Magpul Hunter stock for my Remington 700 Long Range in .30-06. It is a long action and has a detachable 5 round mags. Mounting was easy but you have to remove screw, remove the recoil pad and comb to remove the bolt. I have not been able to take it to the range yet, rain, but it does fit me a lot better than the factory stock. It is adjustable length and comb height. I will take pictures when I get it to the range.

It came with a mag for a 300 WLM but it feeds the .30-06 like the .30-06 mags.

Another report after I have had it on the range.

Did you torque the action screws as they recommended? I suggest taking your torque screwdriver to the range with you, save yourself some frustration in case it doesn't shoot good to start with. I had issues with mine with a .308win, and read lots of forums to figure out it's a common problem. If it's not grouping well try starting at 40 in lbs and working up in 5 in lb increments till it tightens up. Some folks have found it takes different torque on front and rear action screws. Mine settled in at 70 in lbs front and rear. I ended up bedding my recoil lug too. Just thought I would offer some advice just in case, hope you dont need it though, hopefully everything works as advertised for you.

Already torqued to factory specs. Looked them up ahead of time. But, thanks, I will look to moving up or down as I work it up for good groups.
