I'm posting an update since I have multiple projects underway. Many of you know me as barehandlineman11 - I've been active on this forum for a while. I've been working on building my business in the background for some time now. I wanted to wait until I had all the components ready and had some experience with them before going public.
I'm releasing a few new products. I've been collaborating with Proof Research on new 7mm barrels with 1-8 twist and 24-26" lengths, featuring 1.250" diameter, 3" long tenons for magnum calibers. I've also been working with Defiance on a new action design, which will be released through them shortly. This is my design, with their assistance, and I have the receipts to prove it, in case anyone has seen some other builders claiming to help design it.
I started with a Defiance Ruckus action, skeletonized it while keeping the critical components. I reduced the bolt flutes to 0.070" depth, increased the tenon size to 1.121", and made the bolt 0.720" to provide larger lugs over the 0.750" bolt with 1.062" tenons. The resulting action weighs 29-30oz, depending on the scale. I also made some minor changes, such as beveling the front and rear lugs to help clear the objectives on shorter tube scopes, such as the NX8 2.5-20. All standalone actions I sell will come with the Ruckus engraved in them.
As for the stock, it's a 34oz adjustable model with a 14" length of pull and the trigger moved back 3/8". The toe, cheek, and foreend are parallel. This stock is designed to work with my new integrated Pic/ARCA rail. I'll also be offering a non-adjustable version of this stock soon. The cheek riser, with no inserts, is .200 above boreline. You can clean the rifle without removing it, and install a bore guide. Also you can remove the bolt without removing riser. The adjustable riser only adds 2oz to the stock.
