Don't overlook 150 grain bullets in the .300 Savage. The same is true with130 grain TTSX or TSX. I have shot the .300 since the early 1960's and still have a pair of 722 Remingtons in the gun safe. While I also have shot 165's and 180's in the .300, I seem to get better performance on game with the lighter bullets.
