NEW RANGEFINDER

Looking for a new handheld rangefinder for under 1000. Shooting out to 1500. Recommendations? Do not need ballistic app if not available. LR hunting and target
I just picked up the Sig KILO3000ABS bino/RF for $887 delivered. Have the Sig KILO2400ABS at $1000 three years ago. I like the double duty 3000. It also is 10 x42 so higher power than the 7 power 2400. Find it easier to reliably hit actual target......especially on monopod/treking pole.

How do you like the Sig Binocular combo??

I just recently received the 3000. Still evaluating and learning. Have only used it around the lodge in the evening. Deer up to 748 (not 3000's limit, longest opportunity presented off rear deck so far); barn at 1362; truck at 1684. I need to steady unit with monopod to hit target every time....old geezer, youth steadiness misplaced along the way. Wish it had smaller point reticle rather than larger circle. Nice having two functions in one unit...RF/binos. Glass is very good equal to Vortex Kaibab and Razor HD single function binos to my eyes, only 10x fixed power....other binos 18 and 12 respectively. Of course, optics are highly subjective....YMMV. Ballistic function is hamstrung to 800 yards....it's the Lite version. If paired with my Kestrel, can feed back unlimited range solutions then on to Sierra scope. I plan to use Kestrel 5700AB Elite, 3000, and pair with yet to be available Sierra 6BDX 5-30x56 (2B new toy to play with; not BDC kinda guy; prefer own spins) on one of my MRADs. I'm not regularly humpin' mountains any more....too many adventures on the knees.......limiting to under 5 miles or 1 handful little friends, which ever comes first any more.

I replaced my old rangefinder with a Leupold 2800RX. I have only used it out to about 950 yards, but I haven't had the chance to abuse it yet. It can be had for about $500.00 if you look around a little.

2A, Thank you for your initial thoughts. I Own a leica b1600 that I like but recently had my hand on the G7 which paired with the ballistic app within was very handy. I have always liked the idea of a bino that had the range finder as well so I am considering making the change. Again Thank you for your thoughts!!
