My comment was made in jest, they haven't really fixed any of the issues that have been made very apparent to them for years, because they haven't needed to, only because there has been no competition. This is however, somewhat off topic.
I have heard that the valociradar/velociradar alpha won't be available until the fourth quarter of this year. The alpha version seems interesting, as it has the ability to pattern shotguns as well. Another stated upgrade over the base model is that it also reads velocity out to 100 yards (as the labradar does), insinuating that the base version doesn't read as far, if your only interested in near-muzzle velocity. Limiting the range capability of the base version is likely a reason they are able to offer it at a lower price than the labradar.
