this is my last elk I took out of 6a in the Jemez several years back.

We went 6 for 6 on the first rifle hunt. Mine was the smallest with the largest at 350. Attached is a picture of mine.

New Mexico is one of the better western states to hunt elk in my opinion. I try to go out there every year through an outfitter who has landowner tags. Yes, a bit expensive but time is not on my side and like hunting a bit much.
