New mexico cow hunt no more

I'm blessed to spend about 4 1/2 months guiding fisherman on the Vermejo Park Ranch each summer.
The price of a voucher to hunt cow elk on the ranch was 600.00 in 2011. It's not too early to get on the list for 2012 because the number of vouchers could change for next year. I can also tell you a ton of people rebook each year for the following year.
In my opinion it's worth 600.00 just to hunt the ranch for 4 days and see the country and it's wildlife. If you've not been there it's a amazing piece of ground, but then again I'm biased about the ranch, and the people I work with there.
Oh, and there are a ton of elk on the ranch.

I've hunted this place a lot for cows and a few bulls (when it was owened by Penzoil) I'd love to fish the ranch!!! Why did they get rid of Baker?

It is a great place to fish. It can even make someone like me look good guiding.
I can't believe the repeat business the Vermejo gets. There are still a few of the old Penzoil employees that still come to the ranch each year to vacation and fish. I met one fellow this past summer that was on his 50th trip to the ranch to either fish or hunt elk.
Mr Baker was gone by the time I got to the ranch, so I really don't he why he left.
