Redwolf, 300 Win Mag is a great cartridge for hunting big (I mean big) game; but it does have a lot of recoil. It is truly a factor.

And as much as I love Bergara, I would recommend, if you want to start out with a reasonably priced factory rifle that you can count on to be accurate:
Sauer 100 or Mauser M18 rifles (basically the same rifle built in the same factory with the same receiver and barrel and similar triggers). You can get them in almost any cartridge you decide to go with.

I have two Sauer 100's and a Mauser M18. Why? Well, they are simply the most accurate rifles I have ever shot in my life.

Of course you can get similar accuracy from a custom if you are willing to pay $1,000 to 2,000 more.

Thank you for the information I will be sure to look them up. I don't know why lol but I really have my mind set on a 300 wm. Looked at the 6.5 crewsmoor and reall
Didn't like the the information I was receiving about it. Do you have any recommendations on a custom gun company. There are so many on line and most not all people are bashing the gunsmith. And if I'm paying up into th 6-8 k for a gun I would like it to be done right and true
