Hey guys. I recently ordered a box of 90 grain absolute hammer bullets to try in my ruger # 1 in 250 savage, I ran up the powder until I got very light primer flattening and then loaded up three and fired a group. (BAM) 1/2 " @ 100 yds. 3086 fps was hoping for more speed but that'll do. With plenty of bullets left I figured what the heck so I got out my old 722 Remington 257 roberts, I ran it up until I reached pressure, I backed off 1/2 grain and fired a group and got a 3/4" with a BR2 primer, switched to a fed 210m and fired another 3 shot group and got this. I am amazed at how easy it is to work up a load with these things

Hammer's are an absolute game changer

I ran the numbers on strelok and it says it's still running 1800 fps at 750 yards...that's great for a 257 roberts. I can't wait to see how that load works on critters

.250-3000 Savage was named for pushing an 85gr bullet at 3000fps. One of the early hot rods.

You are pushing a 90gr @ 3080+, you are cooking them. Great job.

I had a .250AI for years. I could run a 100SMK or 100 TSX @ 3100+, so that rifle is doing great.

I've got a rem 700 300 wsm that I have never shot, I think I'll try the hammers in it ...just need to figure out which one would work best in that 3" magazine...any ideas?

Run the 124 HH with H414, You'll be in the 3700's and we have tested this combo thoroughly, Nothing walks away from it
