In a recent interview with the New Yorker, a highly-regarded (among her fellow liberals) "progressive" politician, Lucy McBath, talked about the "religion of guns" and starkly reveals, in painful detail, the way American leftists plan on degrading, stripping, impoverishing, isolating, marginalizing, terrorizing, and eventually incarcerating American gun-owners, dealers, gunsmiths, and manufacturers.

Progressives' clearly-stated goal is to dissolve, in its entirety, our historically-important culture of private gun ownership in the USA.

They assure us (as a spider assures a fly) they just want a "safer America!"

Castro claimed to want a "safer Cuba," so he enlisted the professional assistance of ever-eager murdering, Argentinian thug, Ernesto "Che" Guevara, to deliver an endless supply of previously disarmed "dissidents" to Castro's torture-cells and firing squads.

Mao wanted a "safer PRC," so he sent his red-book-waving Red Guards to hunt-down previously disarmed "dissidents," so that they could be herded into gulags, tortured and murdered.

Pol Pot wanted a "safer Cambodia," so he dispatched hordes of grim-faced twelve-year-old murdering monsters to find and then deliver previously disarmed "dissidents" to Tuol Seng (the "prison-of-no-return") or directly to Pot's notorious killing fields, filled as far as one could see with the bleached skeletons of millions of innocent people, of all ages.

Joe Stalin wanted a "safer USSR," so he let loose the "Cheka," followed by the dreaded NKVD, to find previously disarmed "enemies of the state" behind every door, and underneath every bed, all candidates for brutal "interrogation," slow, painful death in gulags, sometimes summary execution.

Liberal progressives are today working tirelessly to similarly convert all American gun-owners to outcasts, all "suspects," all dangerous "dissidents." Fellow citizens, who know what is good for themselves, will shun us completely, lest they share the same fate!

How bitterly ironic:

When Democrats (Marxists) seize power, kiss your guns au revoir!

In Illinois, Democrats have now seized political power, and they're wasting no time!

Who wants to purchase a gun in IL will now be required to turn-over all social-media records for "examination."

When examiners don't like something (always unspecified), they can arbitrarily veto that sale, and all future sales. Your rights are taken away, forever, absent any kind of due process.

Other people, even family members, won't be able to legally touch, even for an instant, any gun belonging to you, without first going through a licensed dealer and a NICS check. So, you can no longer take your family shooting, nor attend any training session where you "touch" other guns.

Normal-capacity magazines and undefined "assault weapons" will soon all be forcibly confiscated by the government, without compensation. Resistors will become instant felons. No "grandfathering," and no exception for retired LEOs

A year from now, when violent crime goes up in IL (as it always does when restrictive gun laws are passed), Democrats, instead of admitting they're wrong, will predictably say, "We didn't go far enough," and a whole new round of onerous, arbitrary, ill-defined restrictions will be forced upon Illinois residents.

Currently, in NYC, it is all but impossible for a citizen to legally own any kind of gun, and gun ordinances (administered by a bloated and corrupt bureaucracy) are so voluminous and poorly-written that for even legal gun-owners to avoid violations is impossible.

Of course, that's the way Democrats want it!

Any citizen they decide they don't like is surely committing some "violation," and through "selective enforcement," Democrats can then vehemently punish critics, while overlooking identical "violations" on the part of their obedient lackeys.

That is exactly what is currently going on in NYC, with IL only a year or so behind. The rest of our Republic when Democrats rule (and they mean to rule) will quickly follow suit.

CA, NJ, MA, CT, MD, and now IL are a few examples of all-inclusive gun-bans, in various stages of completion .

Within a few years, all will be officially "gun-free!"

That is the goal of Democrats, and always has been!

Yet, Democrat politicians, and their bodyguards, specifically exempt themselves from all these new laws!

So, only they and their lackeys (soon to be known as "commissars") will have guns!

Their critics won't, nor will their political opponents, nor will "ordinary" citizens!

The larger cities of nevada have pull us into the same bull as you all are facing. We have a Democrat for governor and for our senators. Michael Bloomberg took a ton of money and sponsored a bill that would make it illegal to transfer any gun you have without going through a background check. It was also put there along side of a marijuana bill that would make it legal to smoke. The problem with that is it makes you a criminal because it still against federal law. So if you smoke it you just forfeited your right to own a firearm. Michel Bloomberg was stupid when he put this together. He had a master plan on how to make people criminals without them even knowing they broke the law.

The truth is 99% of any of the guns used in any violent school shooting or mass shooting were obtained legally. The problem really is just the individual wanting to perpetuate the crime. Take away guns they'll use cars or trucks. Take away them They use knifes. Take away them, they'll use a club. Starting to look like a caveman... Violence is the real problem. Why don't we have a mass campaign teaching children life is valuable irreplaceable, sacreate. Mabe then we could end much of the problem. We can only do so much. I believe peace needs to start in the home. There is no better way to.combat this problem than to supply good parenting. Be involved with the people around you. Set a good example.

I Totally agree with your views. I going to run for office. Start off small and move up the chain. Hopefully I can represent the views we are talking about so we don't loose anymore of them. I think we all need to get involved with in our communities. And then Mabe just Mabe, we can keep the leftist from infringing further on our God given rights guaranteed by our forefathers in our constitution. We need to get back to the basics. God family and country. It pretty bad when not only we can kill babies that are viable. And now here in Nevada we are trying to pass a law that people can commit suicide. What the hell is wrong with these people. No value what so ever for life.....
