Arkansas Game & Fish recently did away with muzzleloader only season in Arkansas, and replaced it with an Alternative Firearm Season for 2024.
You can still hunt with a muzzleloader during this new season, but also with any .30cal or larger straight walled cartridge, as long as it is in a lever, bolt, single-shot, non-semi automatic rifle or pistol with a 4" or longer barrel.
It lead me to make this reel on Instagram. Where I discuss converting my 350lgd AR-15 into a bolt action side charger by removing the gas system and turning the gas block around. I tagged game and fish, and they released an updated report a month ago stating that bolt AR-15's that fired straight walled cartridges would be legal. What do you think? Would you take advantage of this new season or are you a purist and stick with muzzleloader only?
