So my brother in laws brother passed away and they found some older optics. They want to sale them but have no idea of value. Any info would be great! I'll post pictures as I get them.
Thanks!
Joe

What's in the box? :D

The first one with the large target objective wheel should bring in some decent bucks!

Though both scopes are out of my price range! :(

Best of luck!!

They appear to be Zeiss Conquest MC. I have bought clearance from redhawk for 600 a piece.
I did too about 13 years ago. 😂 scope prices are way higher now and those conquests are outstanding. I would think the 5-25 with side parallax should easily fetch $1000. And the 4-16 AO has an illuminated reticle, $750? kinda depends on finding the right buyer but good luck getting something better, new, today, for that.

That could be a clone made in China . I bought 1 sent it to Zeiss and they told me that. First I have never seen the reticle on the eye piece. I will get some photos. This is a clone

I have several, "assembled" in the U.S. I really like them. They were in my budget when I bought them. They are all in Magnum rifles. I have no idea what the values today are. I know the current generation is made in china.

After looking at these pictures closer since the post about Chinese clone scopes I suspect both are fakes.
I have a 4.5-14x44 from 2010 with rapid z 800 reticle (3x mag range)so these would have to be newer models if they have 4x and 5x mag ranges. They do not look anything like what a conquest V4 4-16x50 or an HD5 5-25x50 should. The turrets are wrong, the Zeiss logo on the turret isn't square (like OPs fake pics) the zoom ring and eye focus are wrong. The lettering on the eyepiece is wrong. I had originally thought maybe these were just older and looked different but unfortunately they are probably not Zeiss. I don't have my scope box but that also looks suspicious.
Do they seem like really good glass? Try them out in low light.

I'm still trying to get these in hand but a lot of great info! I did notice the writing on the scopes are white in my pictures but appear to be gold in your pictures.

I still have my boxes and the real scope, but are mounted. I can check when I get home.
If they are Chinese fakes, it wouldn't be worth the effort to be mounted
