Hey guys. Anyone out there have any .257 Roberts brass for sale or trade? I volunteered to work up custom handloads for a lady friend only to discover the cupboard across the nation is bare of .257 brass...I have checked everywhere. And prior to seeking me out did not save her brass...Doh :)

Here in Seattle, I've found a few boxes of factory loaded rounds for my .257 Roberts. I imagine SA has a few somewhere. One of the shops I like to visit when I see my parents in Pleasanton is Adelbridge near the SA airport. They usually have a lot of unique rounds, many from estate sales.

You might have to go that route until things calm down or production increases.

I dont have any extra but I will keep an eye out for you. I ended up several pages deep on the googler and found a shop in New Hampshire, or something like that, that had one box of Nosler brass. I called them and was able to get them to charge me over the phone and ship it to the house. That may be what yall end up doing as well.

You can also try calling Gibson's in Kerrville to see if they have any loaded ammo. Doubt they will have brass.

Yeah she has 4 boxes of Superformance 117 SST and two of Winchester 117 gr round nose...so she has ammo, just no empty brass. FYI, several of those Winchester factory rounds would not chamber in her Kimber 84M rifle...like rounded ogive was sticking into the lands. I've never seen that problem with factory ammo before. I got hold of 300 rounds of "blemished" Speer 120 gr Deep Curl bullets for 23.00 for a box of 100, which is what they load in Federal Fusion ammo...so trying to work something up with those. I closely inspected the bullets and weighed a bunch and couldn't find anything overtly wrong other than copper patina. I ran 'em through the polisher and they came out like bright shiny copper pennies. Of course you don't know what's going on under the jacket.

How much you need? Well i've actually only have a lot factory 257 I accumulated all Nosler...if that helps to get you over the hump...
I'd like to get hold of 100 pieces...any brand and once, twice fired OK. If it were me buying new I always go for Lapua, ADG then Nosler, Hornady Custom and then the generics...truth is they're all pretty good these days.

Anyone that has some ready to go let me know and what you want for 'em.

I have 106 pieces of once fired R-P brass. I just looked at each piece to see if it was all R-P and they're in good shape. I have a pic. If you're interested we can message about a trade or other. regards
