Anyone have a good starting point for 195 Berger in a 28 Nosler with N 568 powder.
Sounds like potentially dangerous advice to me. My 28 is maxed at 80grs of 570 under a 180VLD.I'd start at 79 gr. of N570. There's very little data on 568 from what I've found. But it appears to be slightly faster. So I'd drop a few grains from that. Load up from like 74-82gr in 1gr increments. You'll find out where pressure is in just a few shots.
My apologies. I was at 82gr. N570 with a 195 and 84gr. with a 180VLD. That's the first time I've heard of someone pressuring out at 80gr with a 180. OP is probably no longer with us do to my starting load adviceSounds like potentially dangerous advice to me. My 28 is maxed at 80grs of 570 under a 180VLD.
Did you ever do any experimenting with the n568?Anyone have a good starting point for 195 Berger in a 28 Nosler with N 568 powder.
Thanks for the reply. I have a couple pounds of the n568. I guess I will need to be my own guinea pig.No sure didn't I found some 570 and used that instead.
I did that with my 7mm Rem Mag after contacting Vihtavuori ( who never responded ) and Nosler who suggested contacting Vihtavuori. Thanks for the reply. I have a couple pounds of the n568. I guess I will need to be my own guinea pig.
I read that the 568 was slow is the reason I never tried it. I came across about 10 lbs of 570 and decide it to give it the first try. Let me know what you come up withThanks for the reply. I have a couple pounds of the n568. I guess I will need to be my own guinea pig.
