My New Remarms ADL 7mm RM.

Brownells action lube will wonders for a trigger when applied to the sear surfaces.
I use cigarette lighter fluid to clean and lube Rem 700 triggers. I learned that from the factory armorer's course I attend over twenty years ago. Dirt, crud, dried lube is one of the issues with ND's on the walker triggers. This new Timney might be different but I'll probably swap it out if it doesn't lighten up in the future. but thanks for the tip.

Very nice sitrep on the pipe hitter, I like it. Cheers
Thanks. After I determine how accurate the set up is I may take the Leupold LR Tactical 4.5-14x15 off and mount the SWFA 6X on there. The FOV, forgiving parallax, and windage leads might prove to be a functional scope. Plus I could see crows sitting on power lines with ease so even with the low power is seems functional.

I shot this group today off my backpack. Slow at 2780 fps but it shows promise. I forgot to add the stock still isn't properly torqued down. Once I get the proper allen wrench bit for my torque wrench I'll get that squared away.

I know you said "low budget", but that precision target has got to go! 🤣
There are some nice printable targets here....

the new Remarms 700s are interesting.. I've fooled with 3 of them. two actions I rebarreled and one SDS 308 Win... with the two receivers, I got ready to fix the receivers and found them Vastly improved. one of the things everyone does is to square up the bolt locking lugs to the receiver as it's sort of normal to have less than 30% contact. well darn if both receivers didn't have 100 % contact..I've never and I mean NEVER had that straight from the factory. even the old "good" receivers didn't have it.. also the face of the receiver was square to the bolt as well as the bolt face. Holy C%#P..

The 6.5 Cred we built shot great but most do. Have yet to shoot the 7-08 or the 308 but that's coming this weekend. if the new company keep this up, they will be back in very good health. all 3 were still made in Ilion but word is production is moving to Lagrange Ga.( yea!!) with all of the barrels being 5R and many twist rates changes, things very look positive

If things are that bad, send me your address and I'll send you some. 😁
Always willing to help a vet and a fellow shooter when I can. ;)
Things have been pretty rough going on a decade now. And most likely will get worse. So bad that I came danger close to buying a CCP scope lol. I like the SWFA fixed power scopes but honestly the glass is on par with VarixII. It could always be worse so I'm thankful for my rig. The sharpie is an added bonus lol.

Congratulations on the new rifle. Thanks for posting this. Thanks for the pictures.
Thanks I figured I'd post for those who might be looking for a new mid range priced rifle. I believe Remington is trying to compete with Tikka as far as build quality at a lower price. I forgot to mention I used ADG brass a got from Nez at a great price and I used Remington 9 1/2 primers instead of FED 210M. I don't have much RL22 left so these rounds are mostly for breaking in the rifle. I might do some more 3 round groups with 63.5gr and 64.0gr RL22 to see if the groups and ES/SD improve. After that I load up the rest of the RL22 and shoot out to 550 to 800 yards steel. If I get the range to myself I might shoot out to 1000 yards on my steel 8" plate.

Try a red sharpie, you'll love it, when you hit the red it's easy to see. Now if I could just hit inside the circle. ;-)

Thanks for the tip. For me looking at the bullet holes, or seeing the bullet holes is a distraction while shooting groups. I generally put the cross hairs on a corner and shoot for a group. I was shooting with 7-9 mph winds that day with a poorly filled backpack. It kept settling on me with every shot so I couldn't even use a rear bag so I'm satisfied with the group. But I think I have a red sharpie so I'll give it a try. I don't shoot many 100 yard groups. Once I get a load I start shooting out to atleast 800 yards depending on the conditions.
