I think the OP made a good choice for a production rifle. I've been very satisfied with every Browning purchase I've ever made, from my old A-Bolt in .243 to my BT-99 and a couple of B-78's along the way.
My wife has also been pretty cool with my gun purchases and she can't tell one from another, so when I get a new one, she is either blissfully ignorant about it or I tell her that it belongs to one of my hunting buddies and I'm adjusting his scope (Nightforce) for him.
