I thought I'd share a couple pics from my Idaho Mountain Lion hunt. It was a great experience and the cat of a lifetime! I can now check Mountain Lion off my bucket list of hunts.

Nice cat. I did many cat hunts in my younger years,brings back fun time.I soloed one over 12 miles one day.Had a level shot like your off a cliff.

Definitely an awesome and rewarding hunt. 3.8 miles of hiking through some steep rugged terrain to get to this guy, went in on pure adrenaline but the hike out was a chore.

Wow ! How tall are you and what did the tom weigh ?
BTW I came across a warden on a lion deer kill and asked how often they kill a deer or elk and he said every 3-4 days unless a bear or coyotes get on the kill then it's sooner. I figured around 50 kills a year but it's more like 100 a year, and we can't hunt cats in California.....

Yes they kill allot of elk and deer. I'm 5' 111/2" 230lbs We estimated the cat to be 175+ lbs and 10 years old. He was a huge old Tom. I checked it in at the Idaho wildlife department. They pulled a tooth and are supposed to age the cat but I have not heard back. I was told healthy cats live to be 12-13 years old.
