It was a zero degree day in Nebraska Saturday evening. Shooting her Howa 6.5 with 143 ELD X Round
Saw the Buck come out of the Creek at about 900 yards.
I said lets wait 30 or so minutes as I was sure he would come up the draw below us and into the Cedar Break.
Well roughly 30 minutes later their he was 146 yards below us in 8 ft tall Big Bluestem. When he finally got clear she squeezed it off and down he went.
Now That is a Smile!
Below the first pic is her first deer in 2016 that one was at 205 yards right thru both shoulders. She did miss the 2017 season but not ever another deer season!

Wonderful. Just wanted to say I shoot several different 6.5's. I love that call. I take deer & elk each season with them. A highly underrated cal.

Awesome deer and good lord that one in the background is a beast! Looks like y'all are headed in the right direction of life! I love it!
