My Blacktail Buck

I have been out with my wife quite a bit, Ive only seen 3 bucks all season and at least a dozen does every day. One buck stayed put just a little too long and I dropped him in his tracks, he wasnt long range but in the woods 150 yards is quite a poke in NW Oregon coast range.

I gotta agree, the mass is pretty cool. He is my biggest blacktail yet. I would love to have him mounted but I just bought a boat and dont really have the extra $$ for it so I traded the cape to my taxi for a european mount. It will look good next to m y wifes buck from last year

Oooh, That's a nice coast blacktail. Good deep points, nice symmetry, thick rack, and a couple eye guards. Doesn't get much better than that. Lots of folks would love to get that blacktail. Congratulations!

That is a great heavy horned 4pt blacktail! Good brow tines and double throat patches, what a trophy. Do you send the tooth in to ODFW for aging? Would be neat to know how old he is.

yes i do, my oldest so far was 9 1/2 yrs old 2 years ago, last year mine was 6 1/2 and my wife's was 7 1/2
