So I am in the market for an antelope-elk rifle. Looking at 7mm RM and .300 WM. Being an owner of a couple of suppressors, Its a no-brainer to find a rig thats threaded. Why is it that the gun makers seem to thread these guns in 1/2x28? The calibers of these guns dictates you would need a barrel threaded in 5/8 x 24 since all 30 cal cans come this way. The threading from the factory is useless for shooting a can.
