Mossberg 800 potential barrel replacement question

So I have an old 800B that was my fathers and needs a different barrel. Does anyone know if other manufacturers used the same thread. For example a REM 700 barrel. And yes I am already talking to a smith but they are busy as at the moment. I am just trying a little research on my own to help speed the process.

I am curious about doing the same thing did you ever find out the thread size? It is a 243 that we finally shot the barrel out of.

Never found a direct replacement. I had McGowan barrels make me a new one and fit it. Went with a 24 inch 1 in 8 twist with a longer throat as these have long box magazines. Still working on the loads as I have time.
