More powder lately, but the prices! 😮

To some extent, I can appreciate how you feel. I certainly would not short yourself of supplies. I think I would eventually get to the point where I would say, I have none that I can spare. For me, it would depend on who it is and what the situation is.

I do hope that we can get back to where our shelves are well stocked that we could just run to the store as we need something. Maybe we are spoiled at always having everything we need or want available to us.
That's basically what I did. One of them asked for primers 3 different times. Third time I said nope. Learn your lesson ? He wasn't even a friend. A jerk I worked with part time at Sporting goods store that had reloading supplies. And we got 20% off to boot ! Cheap b@sturd. He was the pay you later type also. He got fired. Worked at Best of the West rifle builders. Got fired. Moved to Washington. See ya !
Now I'm ticked off again ! What time is it? Ahhh ! After 12pm . Yes ! 👍🏻😁

I got caught in the Clinton primer shortage also ! After that I said never again . I stocked up.on everything. I still have CCI and Win. primers from the 70's. 89 cent stickers on them. I have more than enough of everything I need for all calibers for way more than my life time. I had buddy's asking me if I had any primers to sell ? Hey do you have a H1000 ?
Yes I do have H1000! I bought an 8# keg of it way back then but have found I get really good accuracy using it in two 270 WSM's I had. I only have one 270 WSM now but I'm keeping what H1000 I have left -- which is likely 5 or 6 pounds of it! Over the years I've peddled some powders that I never found uses for or couldn't get good accuracy out of the rifles I had. That included IMR4831, H4831, IMR7828 and RL-22! I still have about 4 pounds of RL-19 too and have also gotten good accuracy with it in my 270 WSM! RL-19 did well in my long gone down the road 338 Win Mag's too -- and if I ever found a .338-06 rifle I liked at a gun show, I might have a use for RL-19 again!
It hurt when I spent all that money back in the 90's because $1000.00 was worth a lot more money than it is now! Back than, if I remember correctly an 8 pound keg was right around $100.00 -- some kegs a little less and some a little more! So -- I'd advise anyone looking ahead to spend it now while they can find it because the liberals will be back and it'll likely get worse than it was the last time!
Also, my son is in my will to inherit all my reloading supplies, equipment and firearms and he knows it -- and he knows how to get into my safe!

I paid $300.00 for a 8 lb of Varget. Now I wish I had bought a dozen. 2 weeks after buying the price jumped $60,00. How is that even possible ?
