More powder lately, but the prices! 😮

The day Cali goes red will be one for the books. Although with the way it's been run I could almost see it happen. Dan Bongino would say it just isn't bad enough yet. But I'm not sure how that can be from what I've seen and heard.
Believe it or not, the majority of the state is red. In the election, it's only along the coast that is blue, and once you get up above Santa Rosa, it's pretty conservative. Like much, I believe the media controls what the majority end up thinking. I have found hunters to be some of the most law-abiding people I have met. Yet we get treated like criminals.

Can any state top California's 11% tax on guns and ammo? Bueller, Bueller, anyone?

Ok, tomorrow is going to be a big test. I'm driving up to my lake property and will stop at Sportsman's Warehouse and pickup some magnum primers I ordered. Low and behold, digging in the garage to take tools to the lake, I found a box of 5000 CCI Large Military Primers, #34s. And it was a good reminder to see how much powder I have. I have plenty of primers, even if I didn't have the magnums I bought. But powder made me realize...I have 6-1/2 lbs of Varget, 6 lbs. of IMR 8028 XBR, 5 lbs. left in an 8 lb. of H335. The Varget is always good in the 308, and IMR 8028 will work in 6.5 Creedmoor, as will use Varget or 8028 as will 308. I don't have a lot of H1000, only 1 lb. But I have 4 lbs of 4831SC, one of the slower powders for 6.5 PRC, but still it's usable. I also have a couple lbs of H4350 for 6.5 Creedmoor, and a lot of Accurate 1880 and CFE BLK for both 300 blackout and 8.6 blackout.

At this point I think I'm in the same camp with @WYO300RUM, having some of it torched at my funeral. I have enough for 30 years possibly, and I'm currently 66. 🤔 I don't think I"m very good at math, but would rather be safe than sorry with reloading supplies. My biggest problem is not getting anymore new calibers that I don't have powder for. With that said, I'll see if I can contain myself and not buy anymore powder. They have a lot of great powder on the shelf, it just keep going higher and higher...and I think that makes me buy more.

What I need to do is get myself out and hunt more...July seems like a long time away...and I won't have my new rifle until April, most likely.
