More powder lately, but the prices! šŸ˜®

I agree powder prices, well all of it is so far out of control and a huge rip off!! And yet I continue to buy because it's a real hobby of mine and I have been doing it for about 10 years now. Welcome to Merica' folks.
Bidenomics has made everything more expensive because our money is worth less. The gas station and the grocery store are examples.

I was at a local store the other day and they had a good supply...but like you said the prices were super high from just not all that long ago (months not years). They had H1000 @ $72 a lb. But they also were running a 10% off all reloading so not sure if they were playing the game...jack the price up but discount it back to what it was prior.

Dumm az CO now has 11% pittman-robertson tax, around 7.5-8% sales tax, and the new additional 6.5% co excize tax on firearm/related parts --- that's an additional 25% in taxes over and above the price (p/r is hidden in the sticker price though)

I'm not allowed to say what I'd really say about the Mo........er! He's destroyed this country...
From my perspective, I welcome both Peterson and his daughter, but I don't want him down here. He was so proud to follow the horrible administration in the lower 48, he's paying dearly now...or I should say WE are.

I'm so glad you folks didn't roll over and hand your firearms to him...if that is ever pulled in the U.S., they will have a fight on their hands, IMO. I think some would turn them over, but nobody I know.

I just want to make sure I have enough reloading supplies to get me through this mess. It would be great if Trump can get the vendors to lower the price on components. I'm not sure that can happen if people are already paying such high prices. I'm with all of you folks, trying to stock up so I can make it through. I figure I can trade Varget or IMR 8208 XBR in hard times. I also have some NOS 6.5cm Norma brass, from when they sold them in boxes of 25. Best I can tell the newer stuff is sold in boxes of 50. I'm gonna try to sell them on another fora, I'm not a supporter here, so not allowed to post in the classifieds.

On Calguns it was easier to find people locally to sell/trade components. They ARE available on the shelf, just at high prices. :(

I'm calculating about 125 loads per lb. for 6.5 PRC. Powder, bullets, and primers all add up. I'm gonna calculate I can get 10 reloads off the brass, but even so the highest cost is still the powder. I'm spending over $0.50/ea for powder, brass at 10 reloads is about 1/3rd that cost. It certainly won't stop me from hunting, but higher prices is basically a tax on powder. I have to imagine that companies like Hodgdon are doing better today than they ever have! The 'ol man must be rolling over in his fresh grave...R.I.P.
