Mongolia Argalis

I hunted Mongolia last September. Planned to only hunt Altai Argali near the Russia border. I killed the ram at 400 yards the second day so they offered me a Gobi desert hunt I couldn't pass up.

Hunted near the China border for Gobi Argali ram. Rifle is a Bansner Ultimate Ovis in 270 WSM topped with Swarovski Z5. 65 yards bedded and he just tipped over.

Very interesting country. The land of Chinggis Khan, the first Khan.

I went to the eight floor museum in Ulaanbaatar with history and artifacts dating from 200BC. It was incredible.

I visited that museum when I hunted Mongolia; at the time, UB had a distinctive "Soviet Union" feel to it. I suspect it still does.
