I measured my SA, bolts are approx 7.100" on center.Floorplate but both might help.
The one piece floor plates take small amount of inletting.
I had this one laser engraved.

When you said it took a small amount of inletting, what did you actually do? Did you have to build up then re-drill?I measured my SA, bolts are approx 7.100" on center.

Let's back up here. What bottom metal is the Hogue stock inletted for? 1-piece or 2-piece? It'll be one or the other, not both.I have a Winchester Model 70A 7mm WSM that I want to put a new stock on. I purchased a Hogue stock to go with it.
2-piece.Let's back up here. What bottom metal is the Hogue stock inletted for? 1-piece or 2-piece? It'll be one or the other, not both.
Then you either need a complete 2-piece metal set and all 3 screws or, you need a complete 1-piece assembly and this adapter:2-piece.

They sell stocks for 1-piece but I was uncertain of the fit for my WSM.
You guys can't imagine how much I appreciate your insights. I guess I have decisions to make. Then you either need a complete 2-piece metal set and all 3 screws or, you need a complete 1-piece assembly and this adapter:

The internal mag box, follower, and magazine spring you have are re-useable and the 3 action screws are re-useable. Nothing else from your 70A will transfer over to the Hogue stock. You need a complete short action 1 or 2 piece assembly, and the adapter above if you go 1-piece.
The 1-piece adapter and bottom metal assembly will be 1/4-1/3" "proud" beneath the bottom of the Hogue stock as that assembly is "deeper" and the Hogue rubber-coated Tupperware and AL pillar make it a pain in the rump to modify the inletting.
If you want everything to fit nicely without a bunch of rig-a-ma-row, then you need a complete 2-piece short action assembly.
There are adapters to go both ways. 1 to 2 or 2 to 1.I guess I may have overthought that adapter. I was concerned that it was to convert a 1 piece to 2 piece.
CorrectWhen you say "proud", you mean it will stand rise above the plane of the stock on the bottom, correct?
In reasonably recent (say mid-80's and newer for sure) M70 land you have 3 action lengths inletted into the top of the stock.Do you know or have an opinion on whether the action screws for my rifle would like up with one of the 1-piece stocks they have? I could probably swap the one I have.
