Sadly most young men and women don't know the work and sacrifice him and others of that movement achieved. Its just another three day weekend for them. Wife is a teacher and the young kids call it milk day. Sad!

It is truly astounding what's inside a history book; sadly, kids don't read them any longer!!!

And some have just no respect for anything. This morning I read that there was a multi-perp shootout at a MLK family day event in Florida. Eight people injured and a thousand ducking for cover.

No more history, 1968 so old, like so far back, events had no consequences.
Our educational system needs a tune-up. Civic's curriculum is now being required for H.S. graduates in MT.

Part that hurts the most is the reversal of the ideals. Content of character not color of the skin gave us a few good decades. Now color of the skin appears to be all culture and govt care about, I fear some rough decades ahead.

Hardest part is the apparent lack of contemporary visionaries, seems to be an oversupply of pundits and commentators. Not many leaders and even fewer statesman.

Maybe the hard times on the horizon will breed some strong men...

I've seen hard men raise strong men, and keep the cycle on the positive. We lost the fathers and with it the cycle accelerates.

Not really - gay and transgender issues have moved front and center with the current administration.

Time flies when your having fun!

You youngsters are acting up again. Also got me to thinking and that hurt. I've been out of school 55 years, where did the time go? And yes schools need to get back to teaching instead of brain washing.
