The following is in the 6.5 125 gr copper rose SF

A few pics to get the ball rolling on why we need to cover bases ( I'll post a thread that ties in with another thread I was commenting on )



A bit more information on what occurred

Took a young fella out for his first deer the other day which ended in success although could've been a way different outcome

A combination of things & ultimately one he learned a lot on & I messed up also on 2 fronts
One
I should've been explaining more on the situation that we were presented with as heaps of time but critter reaction i didn't see that coming on the break of the trigger & we ended with a very good outcome from a very poor pill impact point ( I'm not holding him responsible as it's ultimately on me )

Two
Spent more time on the autopsy & apologies for not gathering all the information as I wish I would've looked better in the paunch itself as that would've told me a way clearer picture on the capabilities of this pill to a more defining level

Ok I've been ticking on this McGuire bullet design for long enough now that the ducks are starting to align for me on what's fitting in where & I personally break pills down into parts then the full picture or capability of that particular pill can be seen on strengths or more importantly weaknesses for me personally

So let's just go to this darn tip of Sam's while yes it is a tip but it's really different than a lot of other tips that we see on the market today or ones I've seen anyway

It's basically a cap tip not a stem tip

Sitting back going through my thoughts notes on different pills & tips , the one this cap tip is reminding me of the most is the rws H mantel

Any difference between these 2
Yes totally different cap tip pills but results are showing similar traits in the transition zone

So is this a good or bad trait

for those who have used the hmantel will understand what level in its window that pill kills @ for those that haven't keep watching as this most likely is going to get interesting
