I can't take any credit for this one. It was a very proud moment watching him stalk around the pasture to get a hill behind his first All By Himself woodchuck. Watching him kneel then creep then kneel as the chuck would look up. Then he sat there till the cows got clear I couldn't see the chuck. Then crack he stood up so calm and folded the bipod. Walked up to a multaflower rose bush and crawled into it. I knew he didn't miss. He came back to the house bolt open safety on. I asked well??? He says I got him! I asked where and he says well I put the cross hairs on his nose daddy and that's where I hit him!!!! I was sooooo proud the the horror of reality set in. I just realized OMG my lil hunting buddy is growing up on me!!!!!!! Nearest I could figure about 140-150 yard shot with his Rem 7 22-250 and his own handloads launching 52 grain Hornady bthp's

Haaaas! No just a big soy bean farm & Angus pasture. It's kinda like the good 'ol days - the Farmer is quite enthusiastic that I come out and shoot the little bastages! This one was 12 lb. Momma!

Fellas, must be my lucky day today. I just smoked another one…..this time it was a BIG 'ole male and got him with the .300 "Heavy" (Win Mag ). Still had his supper in his mouth!!
