Master Bedroom Woodchucks!

I had one in my back field yesterday
I started to say. I had one in my back field yesterday, that didn't stay around long enough for me to settle the crosshairs on him. One more second, and and I was gonna unleash the beast on him. Gonna be warm this week, he'll make a mistake.

I hit one at ~50 yards once with the 25-06 + 90 gr HP = Split it into two. It wasn't a real bright example of the species, it leisurely waltzed out onto the range right after guys were shooting.
I shot one last year, with same rifle, at about 40 yards, it wasn't pretty for him.

When I was in the army, a fat ole' whistle pig walked out onto range, while we were qualifying, and the range master told me if I hit him, he'd give me credit for the target I was supposed to shoot.
I got credit for my intended target.
Both of them!🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oops, I did it again. Not from my bedroom, but from one if my "spots". This one succumbed to the 6.5cm, and 123ELDM, @ 256 yards.
He was playing peek a boo. I was playing peek a boom! I won.

First one this year! Little bastage was scoping out a new den location near my stone retaining wall. I caught him out of the corner of my eye, whilst muted on a boring conference call. Grabbed the Hornet and smoked his ***!!

Good deal brother man we have got a ton of them around here this year right now already just come into work today I saw five just you know and it ditches, in the fields.
Maybe I'll go prowling tomorrow afternoon.

Did the chuck wave his tail at you after you hit him? Nice Hornet!
It's funny, he was standing up in front of me at about 15 yards. The hole on his back is actually the entry and bigger than the exit. Those little 36 grain V-maxes must really explode. Maybe it was the close range?

I go up toNE PA sevferal times a year to where thay had all the dairy farms in the mountains. That was the best chuck country. The farmers spread the milk cows manure and the grass in the fiels grew with lots of nutrients. Would each get 10 to 20 a day. Then the Natural Gas boom and alot of hay fields went bare. The farmers made millions off the land and quit milking. I had at least 30 years of goo shooting with 22-250 the in 2004 I switched to a Ruger 204 with Sierra 39gr SBK. anything within 500 was toast. Had some really good days in those fields with a good friend. Hunting is just not the same anymore since the gas booom.
