Not out of the MBR but scored on this Fat Mamma at 400 with the 6.5L. Not bad for an East Coast Long Range hunter in training! Couldn't have made the shot without the LRH braintrust helping me hone my reloading skills. 143 ELD-X on 36 grains of Varget. Dialed up 6 minutes. Life is good!

Thanks! You know my other go-to powder for this gun is RL-15 with the 123 grain SST. I've also been told I'll get better speed with RL-17! I'm getting 2,740 out of the Varget. I'll look into RL-16 as well. Cheers!

Any more MBR hogs? Had one playing peek a boo with me yesterday, for like an hour, nothing, but smoked a fox at 273, driving into the farm. Had my 7-08, and 120 by at about 3180. Poof!

Yeah, they don't like it much, hogs either. I've got some 100 grain sierra varminters I'm working , fine tuning. They are about 100 fps faster, and with the open face, ouch.
The 120 load, is probably gonna become my deer load.
They don't like 123eldm's, out of my 6.5 creed either!

No, they don't! It's a very accurate load in this rifle, and pretty quick.
I'm working with 100 grain Sierra varminter needs a little fine tuning, about 100 fps faster. The open tip is scary looking.

Got out of the house to shoot from the "Grassy Knoll" tonight. Someone is molesting my feeder and I gotta set things right. As Redleg Terril says in The Outlaw Josey Wales, "Doin' right ain't got no end."

The shooter on the grassy knoll Feeder molester's can come in all types and sizes, always kept a cam on mine and you wouldn't believe the critters it attracts. Good hunting and hope you get the perp, coon's-turkey's-porky's-coyote's-hare's-crow's-chuck's-foxes-skunk's-and squirrel's of all types.

Great looking rifle, and I'm sure it's a shooter. Im playing around with 100 Sierra open tip a little. Varget seems to be the clear winner. Cfe223 works, but temp sensitive.

I actually was going to the farm to shoot a little, which I did, but my uncle and I went hog cruising. Two shots, two kills, good average!
