I've got the same Pre-Remington Stainless Model 94 with a Skinner rear sight and a fibre optic front sight. I carry it on all my off-season hikes and feel confident against anything at close range. I load it with 265 gr. Hornadys and it will shoot under an inch at 50 yards - and it has the best trigger I have ever tried on a lever action. These rifles are keepers.
