Mark4 or VX-3 with custom turrets?

I thought the vx3 and mark 4 are essentially the same scope internally now. I think leupold said they upgraded all VX 3's to have the dual erector springs.

That's my understanding as well. This new VX3 is much better optically than one I have that is much older.

The first MK4 I bought was the 30mm 8.5-25x50 TMR reticle & M1 knobs which kind of screws with my simple mind as there is MOA in the knobs & mils for wind holds... I also have 2 of the VX-3's, one in 6.5-20 duplex reticle, and one in 8.5-25 with the varmint hunter's reticle, which, as stated, works ok for wind holds. Here recently, I purchased the new 34mm MK4 M5-A FFP, which is the newest MK4 on the market. Unfortunately it's 1k more than the standard MK4, but... Holy smokes is this thing bad a%#...
My experience says go with the MK4, I think you will be pleased...
