I'm sure others will chime in who have more expertise.
For a given weight, look at load data for similar weight bullet. Pick a powder that gives quite a bit less case fill and start a ladder. If you run out of case capacity and want more velocity, go to a faster burning powder.
If you want top end velocity, choose a powder with higher energy content. Examples would be RL17 (over RL16), Varget, RL26, etc.
Gonna try TAC and IMR-8208. Talked to a guy about the absolute hammers and he says the design are the same as bore rider shells in the old naval rifles. He had some interesting insight.
