I need a range finder, this is up for sale-
:) Leica LRF900 rangefinder - $290

Is this a good range finder for the my first, for the price?

Should I get it or save my money and wait.lightbulb I need some great advice

Thanks! I love reading here on LRH

The LRF's were not as good as the current CRF's. But they were a pretty good rangefinder. I would say if you can get by with a RF that will range to 600 yards you will be ok with it. That said you could probably find a used 1200 CRF for around $400 and that is a far better unit.

Curtis you are more than welcome. If you do look for a Leica 1200 CRF know that they came in 2 models, the 1200 CRF-Y and the 1200 CRF-M Y being yards and M being Meters. The 1200 CRF-Y (yards) is most common. If you are not sure which one you are looking at I think there was a sticker in the battery compartment to indicate.
