lost river ballistic technologies bullets?

I'm not seeing anything out there with a higher BC. In fact, I see nothing even close at those weights.

The bullets could be coated with moly or tungsten, to reduce fouling.

I don't know how to make solids group well.
Maybe someone here does.

I tried some of the j40 250g in .338LM. I was expecting the worst, having heard about a lot of problems with accuracy. They were seated pretty deep (far from the rifling), and the powder was pretty conservative (same as I use for 300SMK). They actually grouped not too bad at 300yds. Not quite as good as the 300 SMK though. Fouling was worse, but not crazy. I did moly coat them. Hope this helps.

I'm a new guy here.

Lost River Ballistics have been around severel years, but now that I have the right gear and the need and desire for their bullets, they are... lost?

Could someone please explain what happend to them?

Lost River Bullets fizzled out. A local store here in Blackfoot Idaho has several boxes of various J36 calibers.

Lost River is now Hooker Tactical and is located in Arco, Idaho.

Hooker Tactical, Inc.

I'm especially interested in their "escorts" and "Hooker Tempestini" This combination should make for a great hunt.:D:D

Nice web page but nothing there, yet.

I found this "Tempestini" but I don't think she's a "Hooker" escort.

Oger, I apologize for this rude response to one of your first posts. But I am LMAO. Lost River has been a local and nationwide topic for years and I just couldn't help myself. Being an American of Italian descent, I really don't know what they mean by Tempestini but seeing as how they offer "escorts" I jumped all over it.

The lost river's always worked well in my Lilja (tight bore) and were super long range predator bullets shooting only coyotes with them They were very effective and did very little damage to the pelt.

Let me know the caliber and I'll see if I can come up with some. I think I can "talk" the store down a bit in cost.

Let me know if you have interest.

Thanks for Your reply royinidaho.

I think alot of people is wondering what happend to LRB.

About Your great offer to help with the LRB bullets, I think I will pass That one.

I would like to find a reliable bullet supplyer so I can get the same bullets in the years to come, but let us see if not Hooker Tactical is worth keeping an eye on.

Try Lehigh Bullets: Lehigh Bullets - Custom Match Bullets Homepage

They look like they have potential.
I'm going to try them in my 338 Lapua Improved

A few days ago I had a look at them and they look very promising.

I was hoping that someone in here had them tried out.

So do tell how they worked out for You and Your Imp.

I sure you may already know this tidbit, but you have to keep in mind the rate of twist especially with the lost river line. For instance I was going to purchase some to load for my 7 mag but the particular bullet I was looking at required a 1 in 7 twist, my 7 mag is a 1 in 9 twist and my 7mm 08 is a 1 in 9.25. So the probability was very high that my barrel would not stabilize that bullet even though I have "26 barrels on both rifles and the shorter your barrel the less likely you are to stabilize the bullet with a higher rate of twist. Hope I didn't ramble on too much and good luck finding the bullet you're looking for. By the way the A-MAX bullets are very good as the other writer recommended. a 162 a-max 7mm has a .625 BC (requires a 1in8 twist would stabilize at shorter ranges say up to 400-500 yards)a 154 IB and SST has a .530 BC Berger also makes some really gd bullets, but there again you must keep an eye on rate of twist. Hope this info. helps
